This painting won the Past President's Award (Chee, Juror) at the Tn WC Society 31st Exhibition 2008 in Knoxville at The Emporium. I have been fortunate to win many awards on this painting.  This was a break-through painting for me in painting portraits.  The lady was in her iris flower garden wearing this white dress. Several other artists and I stopped and snapped a few photographs.  I captured her at the moment she said, "I just don't know why my flowers aren't as pretty as they usually are."  She was a lovely lady named, Angeline that captured my heart.

In 2013 this painting was a featured painting in Season of Unity in Jackson and part of a Traveling Exhibition for several months.

This painting received an award in every exhibition it has been entered in the state and region.
