THIEF OR DONATION?
DARKNESS OR LIGHT?
I escape from realism to abstraction through a spontaneous creative series called FANTASY and MIRAGE. I love it when people tell me images that they see in these series! This is a stunning abstract. Recently I had several people at a show tell me it should have been Best of Show due to the movement of the intense bright colors that seem to flow. Some people say they don't get abstracts. Abstracts usually are judged on their visual appeal: variety of color, line, shapes suggesting movement and light in this particular piece!
*May 1 2012-"Finding the Light" was resolved upon hearing the dreadful news about one of my students committing suicide. "Z" had once asked me about believing in God. I told her I had a strong faith in God. I told her how life is like a flame burning bright, and we never know when something can cause that flame to be put out. "Just be ready "Z." "Z" had demons in her life and struggled. I wept as I finished this work praying she "found the light." I am sorry to say this painting was stolen from the McKenzie Specialty Clinic April 26, 2012. Somehow this painting spoke to someone in a strong way. I am flattered but troubled for this person. May they find the light they seek through this work. I have labeled this painting as "donated." May this painting bring them comfort and brighten their life! :)
*May 20: No doubt the person who decided to take possession of this painting will read this since my business card was on the painting. To you I say if I only knew why you took it I would give my blessings to you. A friend at church said, "the Holy Spirit" will not allow this person to enjoy this painting. It will be a constant reminder of the wrong they have done. But if this painting is bringing them great comfort then, "Bless you, my friend; what a compliment you have paid me as an artist." May more good than bad come from this story.--Tuva
